What's a microadventure?

So much more than a weekend break in the Pyrenees.

    Squeezing every last drop of goodness out of our free time has always been the name of the game for us. So we created Lardana Expeditions' microadventures : three days and two nights of exploration in the heart of the Pyrenees, designed as a chance to press pause, even when you’re short on time. These getaways in the Pyrenees are intense, jam-packed, deeply transformative adventures. Every minute counts, and every step puts a little more space between you and the daily grind.

    Time can stretch further than you think

    These experiences squeeze the best of our trips into small packages: hiking at high altitudes, nights in guarded or unguarded mountain huts, culture and terrain, bivouacs under starry skies, MTB and adventure bikepacking, climbing, crests and much more. You’ll head home feeling refreshed and renewed, like you’ve returned from another world, even though it’s only been three days.

    On these small-grouptreks you’ll always be in the company of a local mountain guide and have the support of our 4x4, which allows us to get to remote, spectacular, otherwise inaccessible places quickly.

    We’ll venture deep into our mountain home: the heart of the high Pyrenees, exploring legendary terrain, and valleys like Bielsa, Chistau, Aure and Louron. These incredible getaways will take you through unrivalled Pyrenees landscapes: the Posets-Maladeta Nature Park, the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park , and the Macizo de Cotiella, as well as the Néouvielle Nature Reserve and the Pyrenees National Park, on the other side of the French border.

    Is it really worth going all the way to the Pyrenees “just” for three days of adventure? Absolutely

    We didn’t set out to make microadventures our thing, but this style of trip has made for some of the best experiences we’ve had right here on our doorstep. We’ve been on veritable expeditions and had transformative experiences, all whilst holding down a nine-to-five, Monday-to-Friday job. And we truly believe that if we’ve had next-level adventures like these, you can too.

    Our microadventures aren’t your average weekend getaway. They’re an intense, no-holes-barred way of experiencing the Pyrenees.
